Above are clips from 'The Pig War', an animation that brings to life the intriguing story of a historical confrontation between the UK and the USA in 1859 that was started by a farmer shooting a pig on his land. This animation was designed to illustrate morally based capability processes for a postgraduate university course.
We were able to effectively capture the essence of this fascinating historical event and use it to illuminate important moral concepts for students. The animation features arresting visuals, expert knowledge, and a compelling script that focuses on the infamous pig that sparked the confrontation.
As it was the core audio content that was of the most importance, we pitched the concept using mood boards and reference images instead of producing detailed storyboards, as the visual focus was on maintaining attention and entertaining the students.
